The North-West Development Commission is pleased to announce the opening of applications for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship to foster academic excellence and empower exceptional individuals from the North-West region to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at reputable foreign universities.
The North-West Development Commission (NWDC), established by the NWDC Act, 2024 signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is committed to driving development, growth, and infrastructure enhancement in the North-West region.

Eligibility Criteria
- To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Indigene: Be an indigene of the North-West States (Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, & Zamfara)
- Undergraduate: Distinction in 3 O’Level core science subjects and 5 credits in other subjects (in not more than 2 sittings).
- Master’s: CGPA of 3.8 and above.
- PhD: Minimum of 4.0/5.0 CGPA in Master’s Degree.
- Age Limit: 22 years and below for Undergraduate, 35 years and below for Master’s and 40 years and below for PhD at the time of application.
