The SYTA Youth Foundation’s Road Scholarship program program provides funds to students and youth who would otherwise not have the resources to participate in enriching and life-changing travel experience opportunities.
Designed for students in grades K-12 and 18 or younger at the time of travel, a Road Scholarship is financial aid granted to individuals or groups of five or more who have been nominated by a teacher or youth group leader and meet criteria within five categories.
Themes
- The SYTA Youth Foundation Board of Trustees will award scholarships to applicants based on the following criteria:
- Achievement: accomplished in the students or groups area of focus.
- Need: Finical., cultural, Linguistic, Home life Hardship
- Imitative Involvement: Preparation finically and or through enrichment activities.
- Service Citizenship: student citizenship within the classroom or community and family service in military or as first-responder.
- Connection: relevance to student or group’s area of focus
Funding Information
- An individual application may request a maximum of $1,000 and a group application may request a maximum of $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- All Road Scholarship nominations are required to be submitted by an educator, program leader, or designated school official for students in grades K-12 and 18 years of age or younger.
