The Progress is delighted to seek applications for its Akanksha Scholarship Program for Women in STEM, a four-year renewable scholarship to cover tuition, fees, and educational expenses for a young woman in India pursuing her undergraduate degree.
Funding Information
- An annual scholarship up to INR 1,50,000 with the exact amount to be determined based on the student’s financial need at her university.
Eligibility Criteria
- The recipient of the Progress Akanksha Scholarship for Women in STEM must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- A young woman with Indian citizenship
- Enrolled in the first year of college and majoring in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Computer Science Information Technology (CSIT), or related courses
- Aggregate marks secured in the 12th standard or equivalent examination must be 75% or above
- Family income must not exceed INR 8,00,000.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Progress employees, board members and their families are not eligible
- Students in graduate school are not eligible.
Selection Criteria
- Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on academic achievement, financial need, interest and experience in computer science, software engineering, IT and/or computer information systems, and personal attributes that exemplify qualities, including, but not limited to, high personal integrity, a passion for learning and spirit to seek progress and overcome challenges with grit and determination.

- Copy of XII Mark Sheet
- Copy of Government ID/Aadhaar Card
- University Admissions Letter
- Proof of Family Income Certificate, BPL, or similar
