The OSF Annual Scholarship is now open for applications.
The Ojah Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit providing access to higher education for bright indigent students from the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The foundation aims to provide full scholarships to its beneficiaries to the end of their programs.
The focus is Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics because it fosters skills like critical thinking, predictive thinking using data, problem solving and creativity.
Scholarship
- The OSF grant is a full scholarship for the entire undergraduate degree program only.
- The grant will be split into annual payments for the duration of the undergraduate degree. This means that beneficiaries will be paid YEARLY grants.
- To maintain the scholarship, beneficiary must maintain a GPA of no less than 3.5 on a 5 point scale every academic year.
- Beneficiary must maintain contact with the OSF office for the duration of the program.
What The OSF Scholarship Provides?
- Cash Award
- Every scholarship awardee receives a cash payment of N600,000 that provides full coverage of board, academic materials, tuition and all other needs for a session.
- Mentorship
- At OSF they do not aim to handover cash prize and step back. They walk with the scholars throughout every session in quarterly mentorships led by volunteer industry profesionals.
- Personal Computer
- Being a STEM student means that you work closely with technology and they support that development with a competitive and stylish laptop that gives you a boost with studies or research.
- Community
- They consider ourselves a family. From the mentors to scholars, staff to founders, they are a growing community and they share resources and knowledge to help each other overcome difficulty and challenges.
What does the scholarship cover?
- The OSF Scholarship covers all expenses associated with your course/program for its entire duration.
- This includes; tuition, accommodation, personal upkeep, transportation, study materials and administrative fees.
Eligibility
- Applicant is from Niger Delta (primarily these three; Delta, Edo, Ondo states).
- Applicant is not from any of the above listed Niger Delta states but has extraordinary performance in academics – presenting no less than a 4.0 CGPA on a 5point scale (school results to be provided on request).
- Applicant’s area of study is STEM; Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.
- Applicant has gained admission for the current year (2024-2025) into a Nigerian public university OR is already in Year 1 or Year 2 in a Nigerian public university.
- 100 and 200 Level students in a Nigerian public university (both state and federal) are eligible to apply as long as they meet the academic criteria.
