The Haniel Foundation supports talented individuals in researching and recognizing how entrepreneurial success can be achieved through sustainability as part of the Haniel Scholarship Program of the Academic Foundation.
The Haniel foundation’s work shows and proves every day how grandchild skills are developed across generations – strengthening specialist knowledge and thinking outside the box, promoting the strong in such a way that the weak also benefit, and strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of those who strive not only for economic success but also for social change.
Benefits
- Admission to the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and the Haniel Foundation
- Full monthly scholarship (1,200 euros in European countries, 1,500 euros in Great Britain, the USA and most non-European countries)
- Coverage of tuition fees for a maximum of 2 years (in the USA and Great Britain up to 14,000 euros/year and in all other countries up to 10,000 euros/year)
- One-time entry fee of 500 euros
- One-off travel allowance of 1,000 euros
Program Flow
- Business-related postgraduate studies with sustainable study content abroad with an internationally recognized (additional) degree, which must be organized independently by the scholarship holders
- Duration: 12 to max. 22 months, including internship (2 – 3 months); there is also the possibility of completing this internship in a company of the Haniel Group.
Eligibility Criteria
- The program is open to students from all disciplines with a proven interest in child-friendly business management. The interest can be demonstrated both through evidence of child-friendly study focuses and content as well as through corresponding extra-curricular activities.
- It requires an excellent university or technical college degree (at least Bachelor’s degree) at the start of the program at the latest.
- the last university degree obtained must not have been more than five years ago, as shown on the date of the graduation certificate.
- Prior funding from the scholarship foundation is not necessary.
- Students without German citizenship can apply if they:
- have acquired their higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad (“educational nationals”) or
- are treated as Germans in accordance with the requirements set out in Section 8 of the BAföG or are citizens of an EU country or Switzerland and have obtained their most recent university degree (Bachelor/Master/Diploma/State Examination) in Germany.
