The Leaders of Change Foundation is pleased to announce The Lane Kirkland Scholarships Program and Kirkland Research scholarships.

- Fields related to the reconstruction of areas destroyed by the war, e.g., urban planning, civil
- engineering, forensic science, etc.
Funding Information
- The Lane Kirkland Scholarships Program
- Free access to university classes and support from an academic advisor
- A stipend of PLN 22,500 (paid in 9 installments over 9 months).
- In addition, the Program administrator provides the following (worth approx. 5000 PLN/month):
- accommodation during the whole stay in Poland
- health insurance for medical outpatient care, treatment costs in case of emergency, and civil liability insurance
- one return ticket to Poland (up to an agreed amount)
- public transport cards
- visa costs
- research materials
- participation in an introductory course, and in grantees’ conventions,
- Polish language course (October–June).
- Kirkland Research scholarships
- stipend paid for four months (2,700 PLN per month)
- scientific and didactic package up to PLN 3,500
- In addition, the Program administrator provides:
- accommodation provided during the four months stay in Poland
- reimbursement of travel expenses (arrival in Poland and return) according to limits set annually
- reimbursement of public transport costs
- health insurance for medical outpatient care, treatment costs in case of an emergency, and civil liability insurance
Eligibility Criteria
- The Lane Kirkland Scholarships Program
- The Kirkland scholarships are addressed to individuals who represent the following professional groups:
- civil servants, employees of central and local government institutions
- lawyers
- entrepreneurs
- managers in NGOs, culture, education, media, environmental protection, healthcare, business
- leaders of non-governmental organizations, animators in culture and civic activity
- academic teachers
- journalists
- Preferences
- candidates actively working in their professional and social fields
- candidates who have significant achievements
- candidates who have not yet studied in Poland
- The Kirkland scholarships are addressed to individuals who represent the following professional groups:
- Kirkland Research scholarships
- You must
- have citizenship and permanent residence in one of the countries covered by the Kirkland Research Program: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan; the competition is also open to citizens of Belarus residing in Poland for political reasons, and to Ukrainian citizens who found themselves in Poland after 24 February 2022
- be under 45 years of age;
- have experience in research and scientific work – minimum 4 years;
- have at least two years break from participation in any previous scholarship abroad that was longer than 6 months; this criterion does not apply to candidates from Ukraine, or, in individual cases, from Belarus
- have scientific achievements, including publications;
- have a knowledge of Polish or English at minimum B2 level. (In the case of having English at B2 level, Polish must be at least at A1 level)
- Preferences
- The Program offer is addressed to candidates who have not participated in the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program; have not completed their doctoral studies in Poland; during the scholarship period are not bound by an employment contract with any Polish university/institution.
