This ten-day, intensive course in Prague, Czech Republic offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest methods and trends in media through seminars, workshops, and practical exercises.
The Journey program is traditionally held at the beautiful Villa Grébovka in Prague, where participants are also accommodated. Villa Grébovka is located in Prague 2 – Vinohrady, near the historical center. The ninth edition of Journey will take place from July 26th through August 4th, 2025.

Costs Covered
- The scholarship covers accommodation and food for the duration of the program, travel costs to Prague, transport to and from the accommodation upon arrival and departure, and all study materials during the course.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the program, applicants must be:
- Citizens of one of the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, or the United States. Your current place of residence is not a factor in the selection process, but the Foundation will not be obliged to fully cover your travel costs if you intend to travel to the Czech Republic from a destination other than your country of citizenship.
- Currently enrolled at a university and studying journalism, media studies, or a closely related field (or a different field if the applicant has journalism experience demonstrates a strong motivation to become a journalist), with two semesters of full-time study completed by August 2023. Students who are currently enrolled and graduated before August 2023 are also eligible.
- Applicants must have a good working knowledge of English.
Application Requirements
- Participants will be actively engaged in all of the program’s workshops and exercises. They will submit an individual journalism project to be produced under the guidance of a Journey mentor.
- The length of the final project should be between 800 and 1,000 words. The deadline for submission of the final project will be approximately three weeks from the end of the Journey program. Submitted projects will be evaluated by an independent jury, and the best papers will be rewarded.
