Applications are now open for Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships to strengthen young people’s access to higher education in India.
Every year the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships supports 5,000 meritorious students based on a merit-cum-means criteria for their undergraduate college education, empowering them to continue their studies without financial burden. The Scholarships aim to enable students to become successful professionals and realize their dreams, unlocking their potential to lift themselves and their communities up and contribute towards India’s future socio-economic development.
Students with a household income of under Rs. 15 lakh who are enrolled in first year (academic year 2024-25) of their undergraduate studies pursuing any subject stream can apply. The programme will also aim to encourage applications by girls and specially-abled students.
In addition to the scholarship grant, the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships will provide scholars an opportunity to be part of a vibrant alumni network and an enabling support system that will create a long-term impact on their lives and career trajectories.
Scholarships Features

Funding Information
- Selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to 2 lakhs over the duration of their degree programme.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:
- Be a resident Indian citizen.
- Passed Standard 12th with minimum 60%.
- Currently enrolled in the 1st year (academic year 2024-25) in a regular full-time degree course in any stream.
- Students having House Hold income Rs. 15 Lakhs (preference given to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs).
- Aptitude Test is mandatory.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Following students are not eligible:
- Students who are in the 2nd year or higher (have started their courses from academic year 2023-24 or before).
- Students pursuing their degree through online, hybrid, remote, distance or any other non-regular modes.
- Students who have passed diploma after std. 10th.
- Students pursuing 2-year undergraduate degree courses.
- Students who do not answer the mandatory aptitude test or are found cheating during the test.
