Deadline: 14 April 2025
The Ivy Circle Netherlands in collaboration with the Fulbright Commission are offering a scholarship for students who are going to do an undergraduate education in the United States.
The Ivy Circle Scholarship supports motivated students with the start-up costs of studying in America. These are costs for which there are usually no reductions or scholarships available and which can form an obstacle to applying for a study in the US. Think of the costs for application fees, taking admission tests, applying for a visa and booking a flight.
Funding Information
- A total of €2,500 is available for one or two scholarships.
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following conditions:
- This year, you will obtain your (final) havo, vwo, IB or mbo-4 exam at a school located in the Netherlands. In addition, you will start a diploma study at an accredited institution in America next fall with which you will obtain an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree.
- Taking a gap year, online education or education at a foreign campus of an American university does not meet the criteria for the grant.
- You can demonstrate that you are able to finance the study with other funds, such as a contribution from parents, student finance or a grant from the American institution.
- Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that family income is insufficient to cover the start-up costs of study.

- You have Dutch nationality. Candidates who also have American nationality cannot submit an application.
Selection Criteria
- The selection is based on school performance, admission to an accredited institution and financial need.
