The Styrian State Government is awarding scholarships for young, up-and-coming international artists of all disciplines and art theorists in 2026 as part of a call for applications.
These scholarships will be allocated based on the recommendations of an expert jury. There is no individual legal entitlement to a scholarship.
Support and networking for the scholarship holders are provided by cultural initiatives in Graz, which also provide them with a workspace. A presentation of the work is planned during the residency. Emphasis is placed on the use of environmentally friendly materials for art production.

- Accommodation for the four international artists present at any one time is located in the center of Graz, within the outstanding baroque ambience of the seminary.
- Appropriate tolerance, a spirit of communication, and respect for the institution’s concerns are expected from the scholarship holders.
