Funding Information
- Successful applicants receive an AUD $9,000 grant to travel overseas for industry experience, professional development workshops, networking opportunities and mentoring.
Eligibility Criteria
- Global Footprints Scholarships are for young Australians in vocational careers.
- You must:
- Be between 18 and 25 years old on 30 June of the year in which you apply.
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Meet the education and training requirements for a vocational career in their chosen industry. University students or graduates are unfortunately not eligible.
- Demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and passion for your work.
- Be able to leave Australia for your scholarship before the 31st of December of the year after you apply.
- Make the necessary travel, visa and work experience arrangements to pursue your scholarship.
- Spend at least 4 weeks of your time overseas on industry related activities.
Selection Criteria
- Scholars are selected based on their commitment to sustainability and their passion for their profession.
Application Requirements
- Agriculture
- Certificate III, IV or equivalent VET qualification in a subject relevant to the sub-categories.
- Likely to complete a Certificate III in a subject relevant to the industry sub-categories within 6 months from the application closing date.
- Proof of education can be either your certificate or – for those about to complete their Certificate III or IV within six months from application – a form completed by your teacher at your Training Institution (RTO). They will provide this form to any shortlisted applicants who need it.
- Note: You will not be allowed to travel until you have completed your Certificate III, IV or equivalent.
- Trades
- Certificate III in a subject relevant to the sub-categories,
- Likely to complete a Certificate III in a subject relevant to the sub-categories within 6 months from the application closing date.
- Proof of education can be either your certificate or – for those about to complete their Certificate III within six months from application – a form completed by your teacher at your Training Institution (RTO). They will provide this form to any shortlisted applicants who need it.
- Note: You will not be allowed to travel until you have completed your Certificate III.
- Horticulture
- Certificate III or Diploma in Horticulture,
- Likely to complete a Certificate III in Horticulture within 6 months from the application closing date.
- Proof of education can be either your certificate or – for those about to complete their Certificate III within six months from application – a form completed by your teacher at your Training Institution (RTO). They will provide this form to any shortlisted applicants who need it.
- Note: You will not be allowed to travel until you have completed your Certificate III.
