Applications are now open for the Women at Microsoft Scholarship Program to empower women and non-binary high school seniors to pursue a career in the technology industry.
Funding Information
- WAM will award 26 one-time awards of $5,000 (USD).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants to the Women at Microsoft scholarship must:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Self-identify as a woman, non-binary, gender fluid or transgender woman
- Plan to enroll full-time in a technology, engineering, math, or computer science related undergraduate study at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school, in the United States, for the entire upcoming academic year. (International applicants are welcome to apply if they will attend school in the United States.)
- Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Microsoft Employees and their children are ineligible.
Selection Criteria
- The program will use criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Application Requirements

- One letter of recommendation
- Transcript
- Statement of career and educational goals and objectives.
