The Fulbright Turkey is now inviting applications for its PhD Thesis Research Scholarship for doctoral students.

Funding Information
- Scholarships of up to $60,000 per academic year:
- Tuition fees and expenses
- Monthly living expenses payment (determined based on a schedule prepared depending on the city of destination)
- $1000 book fee and $350 settlement fee
- Round trip airfare expense of 2000 USD
- ASPE health insurance
- Duration: One academic year (9 months)
Eligibility Criteria
- Doctoral students who are registered in a doctoral program in Turkey and have completed or are about to complete the course phase and have determined their thesis topic by the application deadline.
- Obtaining a doctoral qualification is not an evaluation criterion; the main thesis topic to be studied must be determined, all compulsory courses must be taken until going to the USA, and scholars must still be enrolled in their current doctoral programs when they go to the USA.
- Those who have advanced knowledge of English at academic level.
- Candidates are required to demonstrate maturity, reliability, integrity and professionalism. Any instances of plagiarism detected during the application or scholarship period will result in disqualification from candidacy or termination of the scholarship.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Non-citizens of the Republic of Turkey
- Those who have American citizenship, “Green Card” holders or whose “Green Card” application has been accepted and who have started the legal process.
- During the application and selection process, those who reside, work or study in the United States
- Those who have resided in the US for five years or more in the last six years prior to the application date (Those who live in the US for 9 months or more in a calendar year are considered to have resided in the US that year.)
- Those who want to receive training in clinical sub-branches of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and Psychology that require one-on-one patient contact (Applications are accepted from other non-clinical sub-branches of these fields.)
