The Asia School of Business is requesting applications for its Tun Ismail Ali Center of Excellence Research Grant to lead, collaborate, and advance research excellence in monetary policy and economics, enhancing knowledge and innovation in emerging markets for Malaysia and beyond.
While theoretical contributions are welcome, they particularly encourage papers that incorporate empirical analysis to test and refine theoretical insights.
Focus Areas
- Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- AI and its implications for monetary policy and labor market dynamics
- Monetary policy responses to geopolitical risks and economic fragmentation
- Coordination of monetary, exchange rate, and macroprudential policies
- Digital financial innovations and their effects on policy transmission
- Distribution effects of monetary policy
- Islamic finance and monetary policy
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Malaysian nationals working in academic institutions globally
- Open to all academics in Malaysian universities
- No restrictions based on career stage or experience
