Deadline: 3 March 2025
The Dutch Film Fund is seeking applications for its TalentScope Documentary scheme to stimulate the growth opportunities of Dutch documentary talent with a curated and personal program, aimed at deepening their authorship.
The program starts with an intensive one-on-one session with the curator. During this session, the customized program is made concrete based on the research questions and a work plan is worked towards its content. Based on the work plan, substantive expertise can be deployed throughout the year, inspiration can be gained and travel and/or research wishes can be fulfilled.
In addition, the program includes the following fixed components:
- A visit to an international documentary festival or market, such as those organised annually by SEE NL and the Film Fund.
- During IDFA’s International Project Space in July 2025, a program will be put together that connects with – and is valuable to – the director’s process.
- In November 2025, the directors will receive full accreditation during IDFA and will independently follow their own festival program, compiled by the curator.
- The program will conclude in the spring of 2026 with a curated film program and/or public presentation by the directors in the Documentary Pavilion.
