The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is thrilled to invite applications for its Creation and Production Grants Programme to support new musical works (new repertoire, recorded music productions, musical performance, etc.).
Funding Information
- The maximum amount is: CHF 25,000.
- The amount of the grant depends on the overall size of the project, the fees and the production costs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationally established music professionals and bands from Switzerland who are active in the pop, rock, jazz, electronic, experimental, global sounds and hip-hop genres.
Ineligibility Criteria
- It is not possible to submit the same application to the funding measures ‘Creation and production: pop, jazz, global’ and ‘Creation and production: contemporary music’ at the same time.
Selection Criteria
- The music professionals are recognised nationwide and regularly perform at renowned event venues in Switzerland and abroad
- The music professionals have already been supported by Pro Helvetia as part of projects abroad
- The music professionals work with professionals from the field (label, management, booking agency, etc.)
- Appropriate fees for the music professionals
- Appropriate financial support from other funding organisations
- Artistic relevance, number and quality of the event venues and performance dates, national and international promotion potential.
Application Requirements
- Project description (concept, implementation and demo, international promotion strategy)
- Details of the individuals involved and possibly also the label
- Schedule for the creation and production phase and for the national and international promotion strategy
- If recorded music is produced: compelling concept for the promotion and distribution of the recording
- Detailed budget for the creation and production phase (incl. social security contributions for staffing costs), possibly also the recorded music production and financing plan (incl. enquiries to other funding organisations and co-producers)
