The Mito Foundation is excited to announce its Mito Foundation’s Incubator Grants to support innovative research efforts with the potential to make a positive impact on the mito community.
This funding mechanism aims to facilitate high-quality preliminary studies to enable the researcher to generate sufficient data to secure external funding to continue their research.
Funding Information
- Mito Foundation’s Incubator Grants are charitable grants of up to $25,000 for a period of up to 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Research must be focused on primary mitochondrial disease.
- Proposals addressing innovative research efforts will be considered. Funding is not available for well-established research programs under this funding mechanism.
- Australian and overseas applications are welcome.

- Applicant CV (maximum 2 pages)
- Co-investigator(s) and group leader CVs (maximum 2 pages; if relevant)
- Please confirm your reporting requirements from previous Mito Foundation funding are up to date (if applicable)
- Compile all documents in 1 PDF document.
