Are you a researcher in primary care? You would like to continue your career in this field but can’t find funding? The King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) is offering the Springboard grants to help talented postdoctoral researchers in applied research in primary care to launch their research career.
The Fund Maurange supports talented researchers who have recently obtained a PhD or are about to finish a PhD to pursue their research career and strengthen their application for longer-term fellowships and funding.
The aim of this call is to support interdisciplinary applied research related to primary care, with the perspective of a concrete implementation of interventions for the benefit of patients, relatives and professionals in Belgium.
Support
- Financial support of maximum € 88.000 will be given to one researcher covering a period of approximately one year.
Location: The project is initiated and coordinated in Belgium and directly applies to the Belgian context.
Eligible Applicants
- The call is open to post-doctoral researchers performing research within the field of primary care:
- with maximum 3 years of active research activities (with an additional year per childbirth or adoption) following the date on which the PhD was obtained or who are about to finish their PhD thesis (public presentation within the next 6 months after deadline of the call);
- working full-time or part-time (at least 70 %; possibility for 50% for primary care professionals) in a university, an academic centre or a research centre in Belgium and;
- having no guaranteed funding for their salary for the following years but with the intention to build a research career and to apply for longer-term funding.
- The introduced research project needs to apply to the Belgian territory.
- The application should be formally supported by an established researcher in the field.
- Interdisciplinarity and international collaborations are strongly encouraged.
