Sports Clubs Physical Activity Grant Scheme 2024 (Ireland)

The scheme will have 4 pillars: Inclusion, Youth Development in Coaching, Coach Education & Sports Equipment.

This scheme is to support clubs in being more inclusive, developing youth coaches, progressing more coaches on the coach education pathways and the provision of equipment to support the work of the newly trained coaches.

Funding Information

• The minimum amount that can be applied for by any applicant under this scheme is €500 and the maximum amount is €1200.

Eligibility Criteria

• Limerick based Sports Clubs, whose national governing body is recognized by Sport Ireland & who deliver sport and physical activity opportunities in their local communities.

Ineligibility Criteria

• Schools, community centres, commerical organisations & individuals are not eligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

• All applications will be evaluated by Limerick Sports Partnership to determine if they meet the eligibility requirements of this grant programme.
• Applications will be reviewed on the merit of the information and documentation provided in the application submitted. Every effort will be made to provide required funding to eligible organisations.
• In the event that the scheme is oversubscribed, funding amounts offered to successful applicants may be reduced in line with funding available.
• No canvassing rules apply. Canvassing will result in disqualification from the scheme.

  • Your Position within the facility
  • Information about the purpose of the grant
  • Recent club operational expenses bank account statement (Within last 3 months).
