Are you going to build robots or learn to code with us? Then submit your project now and have a chance to win a grant that can support you in hosting a workshop, buying some material like robots or much more.
Code4Europe Consortium is setting up a grant system in order to foster grassroots projects, proposing activities that significantly merge the priorities of EU Code Week. Digitale Wolven invites applications for small grants to support impactful flagship activities in digital education, coding, and computational thinking.
The purpose of this Call for Grants is to identify and support impactful grassroots coding projects aligned with EU Code Week’s mission to promote coding, computational thinking, and digital skills across Europe.
Objectives
- Enabling the development of innovative and scalable coding activities.
- Supporting initiatives that integrate coding into educational contexts and foster engagement.
- Encouraging community involvement and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Prioritizing projects that bridge the gender gap and promote diversity in STEM education.
Funding Information
- The total grant given will be a minimum of €250 and maximum €1000, depending on the project’s request and the availability of funds.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants include all schools with students up to the age of 18 years old in any category or system of official Belgian or Dutch education.
- Organizations affiliated with schools can prepare a submission, but it always has to be a school who is the legal entity submitting for the grant.
- Legal entities require a registration in the ‘Staatsblad’ or with the ‘Kamer van Koophandel’. As such they should have a VAT number.
Evaluation Criteria
- The quality of the project and its objectives: The applicant must explain why and how the activities they propose can stimulate learning of digital skills.
- Educational impact: The applicant must explain the added value that is created by the project within the educational perspective of the target group.
- The added value of the support: The applicant must clearly explain the added value of the support and how it will be used to implement the project. The financial support received will be used exclusively for the implementation of the project.
- Implementation timetable: The project must start between September and October 2025 and run until December 2025 at latest.
