The India Foundation for the Arts is inviting proposals from school teachers to participate as facilitators in implementing arts-integrated projects in government schools in Karnataka.
These projects, which complement the school curriculum, should provide a solid foundation for arts-integrated teaching. It is desirable that the proposals clearly state the arts-integrated projects that encourage students’ creativity and research skills.
Scope
- Projects that you want to implement should clearly include any of the following elements:
- The project should involve many other stakeholders, including parents, students, teachers, and those involved in the arts.
- Efforts should be made to incorporate local resources or art forms into classroom teaching methods.
- The project should specifically focus on one art form, including theater, music, folklore, visual arts, photography, film, and literature, to encourage student-centered learning.
- The project should help inspire the school community to raise awareness about social justice and the environment.
Funding Information
- Up to a maximum of Rs.1,00,000/-
- The proposer may consider a maximum of Rs.35,000/- as self-financing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Government school principals, teachers, and cluster resource persons with prior experience or relevant training in art education.
Application Requirements
- Your final proposal should include details on the following minimum topics:
- Request letter to undertake the project.
- Your personal introduction.
- Details of the personal background, social and cultural background of the students, as well as the name, address of the school, and the qualifications of the co-teachers.
- Brief information about the school’s current art education initiatives, if any.
- Project objectives.
- Details of work plans.
- The role of school colleagues in the project.
- Details of resource persons participating during the project period.
- Desired outcomes that can come from the project.
- Details of expenses.
