Deadline: 7 February 2025
The Finnish Cultural Foundation is accepting applications for its Discover Science Grant Program to spark the curiosity of school-aged children and youth to engage with science and ensure equal access to science education regardless of their place of residence or background.
The Discover Science projects will introduce different branches of science to children and youth in a comprehensible format. Furthermore, they will provide an opportunity to meet scientists and to acquaint themselves with scientific work through university contacts. The wishes of children and youth must be taken into account in different implementation phases of the project.
It is applicable for implementing science education initiatives supporting basic education, such as science events, workshops, or distance learning programmes. The grant may be used to cover costs arising from hiring auxiliary labour, transportation, or preparation of teaching materials. The grant is not meant for the applicant’s core business operations or research work. The duration of the project may be 1-4 years.
