Deadline: 7 July 2025
Applications are now open for production of a (majority) Dutch short or long film that is investigative and ground-breaking within the various genres, or an experimental or artistic film.
Funding Information
- From €50,000 to a maximum of €100,000. For projects of exceptionally high quality, the board may decide to grant a higher contribution.
- The Fund contribution amounts to a maximum of 85% of the production budget. It is possible to apply for an earmarked additional contribution of €5,000 for distribution.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant is an independent production company (a legal entity, not a sole proprietorship or general partnership) that has been established for at least two years in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a member state of the EU, EEA or Switzerland and that produces and exploits films and other audiovisual productions on a continuous basis.
- The production company is represented by a producer who, as majority producer, has been primarily responsible for the realisation and release of at least one free, non-commissioned film production (long or short) in the field of artistic and experimental film in the professional Dutch film and/or television sector/visual arts circuit.
- The producer representing the production company is not the same person as the director and/or screenwriter of the film.
- Only when the intended fund contribution for realization is less than €50,000:
- A director who produces the film himself can also independently submit a realization application. In the opinion of the board, the director must have demonstrable and sufficient production experience in realizing and releasing artistic and experimental films in the professional Dutch film and/or television sector or visual arts circuit. Previous productions that were created in the context of a training course, competition or self-education will not be taken into account.
- A producer who meets the entry requirements for development in this category can also independently submit a realisation application.
