The Research Council of Lithuania has launched an open call for applications for its Lithuania-Ukraine Program to implement joint research projects in 2026–2027.
Thematic Areas
- Secure infrastructure:
- Essential cybersecurity measures for critical infrastructure, including government institutions and financial systems.
- Technologies designed to protect against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and natural threats.
- Resilient society and state:
- Functioning and capacities of public authorities for post-war reconstruction and recovery.
- Solidarity and mutual trust in society.
- A safe person:
- Community safety initiatives: safety in urban and rural areas, focus on crime prevention and rapid response to emergencies.
- Mental health support systems: Developing support systems for people affected by conflict, including psychological support and mental health services.
Funding Information
- The maximum budget for one project is up to 100,000 euros.
- Duration: The project is to start on January 1, 2026 and end on December 31, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
- The application is submitted by the project implementers together with the implementing institution and a partner from Ukraine. The implementing institution must be a Lithuanian research and studies institution included in the Register of Education and Research Institutions. The partner must be a Ukrainian research and studies institution.
- The project leader must be a scientist (researcher with a PhD).
Ineligibility Criteria
- Applicants for this call for proposals are not eligible to apply to projects under the Lithuania-Ukraine Programme, whose projects are funded in 2024–2025, if they are applying with the same partner from Ukraine.
