Open call for Festivals Grant Scheme – Ireland

Assistance shall be given only in respect of arts festivals in County Meath scheduled to occur in 2024.

Funding Information

• The maximum grant available is €3,000.

Eligibility Criteria

• Festivals must be Meath based and must provide a valid eircode.
• This scheme is not intended to wholly fund projects. Festivals must show evidence of proposed additional income and funding.
• This award is available for future/new festivals; it is not available for festivals which have already taken place.
• Previously funded festivals will not be considered if past post event reports are not returned.

Conditions

• The Festivals Grant Scheme is competition based and previously funded festivals are not guaranteed repeat funding.
• All applications must be made online.
• Awardees must credit Meath County Council Arts Office in all publicity and through online logo placement in acknowledgement of funding received.
• Applicants may make multiple applications for funding through the different available funding strands; however if successful, funding will be awarded through one funding strand only. Applicants in receipt of funding through this award will not receive funding through subsequent 2024 awards.
• Awardees must complete the post event report issued with notification of award.
• All Festival Grant Scheme awards will be made in accordance with Meath County Council Arts Plan 2019 – 2024.
• Meath County Council Arts Office reserves the right to review, amend, revise or revoke this scheme at its own discretion at any time.
• Meath County Council shall not be liable to the applicant or any other party, in respect of any loss, damage or costs of any nature arising directly or indirectly from: the application or the subject matter of the application, the rejection for any reason of any application.
• Meath County Council shall not be held responsible or liable, at any time in any circumstances, in relation to any matter whatsoever arising in connection with the administration of activities.

Health & Safety

• Activities involving children and young people (0-18 yrs.) must have up to date Child Protection Policies and Procedures in place in accordance with the Children First Act 2015 and Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017.
• Events or projects engaging members of the public, including virtual events, require a Health & Safety Event Plan and a Risk Assessment and applicants must declare pertinent, up-to-date documents in place.
