The deCentral is offering Artwork Production Grants to assist the production and showcase of contemporary art by Thailand’s diverse artistic communities, understanding that access, capacity and visibility in the art world is at times uneven or under served.
At deCentral they seek to not only elevate individual artistic practice, but also to strengthen this country’s broader cultural ecology, hoping for increased engagement, collaboration, support and global competitiveness in Thai contemporary art.

Funding Information
- Grant amount: THB 150,000 each, for 9 artists.
Eligibility Criteria
- Thai nationals and the indigenous peoples of Thailand
- Artists or collectives of any working in any medium (eg. painting, sculpture, installation, moving image, print making, new media, sound, performance etc)
- Applicants must have at least three years of exhibition history demonstrating a commitment to experimentation and innovation
Selection Criteria
- Alignment with deCentral’s mission and vision
- Critical approach, conceptual depth, and material innovation
- Visual and thematic cohesiveness
- Feasibility within the proposed budget and timeline
Application Requirements
- Submit all of the below as a single PDF (file size ≤ 15 MB):
- Artist bio and CV
- Written proposal (500-1000 words) outlining the concept, its alignment with deCentral’s mission and vision, and why it deserves support
- Preliminary drawings/images visualizing the proposed work’s scale, form, and experiential impact
- Detailed budget for the project. Applications that require more than THB 150,000 must indicate how they intend to raise the additional necessary funds in order to be eligible
- Production timeline, clearly outlining how long they envisage the work to take to complete
- Artist portfolio, clearly illustrated with image, artwork caption, and what the artwork is about
- Two references, including names, emails, and contact details
