The Arts Tasmania is seeking applications for the Young and Emerging Artist Professional Development Program.
Funding Information
- Five grants of $16,000 are available in this round.
Eligible Costs
- Grant funds can be used towards:
- residency costs
- masterclass fees
- mentoring fees
- travel and accommodation costs (including per diems)
- disability access costs (including travel costs for carers)
- materials (including art form materials)
- costs associated with child or dependent care.
Eligible Activities
- You can apply for funds towards professional and skills development activities including:
- Tasmanian, national, or international residencies
- mentorships
- masterclasses
- attachments with arts organisations on existing projects or productions.
Ineligible Activities
- Grant funds cannot support:
- any activities that are part of a formal course or contribute to assessments
- activities that are not focused on professional or skills development (including creative projects)
- equipment purchases.
Eligibility Criteria
- As the applicant, you must be:
- an individual artist or arts worker who is either:
- aged 25 years and under or
- in the first five years of professional practice as at the closing date for applications.

Ineligibility Criteria
- Applications will not be accepted from:
- groups or organisations
- artists or arts workers intending to undertake professional development focused on screen or interactive gaming.
