The Meath County Council invites applications for the Drama League of Ireland Bursary intended to fund a week-long residential stay at the Drama League of Ireland Summer School at the University of Limerick.
The residency is open to directors, designers and actors working in theatre, living in County Meath
What you will get?
- The bursary entitles the successful applicant to a week-long residential stay at the Drama League of Ireland Summer School.
- The bursary is intended to assist theatre artists in their professional development.
- Successful applicants are responsible for securing a place on the course of their choice.
Particulars
- This bursary covers the cost of DLI Members’ Residential Summer School attendance rate valued at €575
- This bursary is paid directly to DLI. A cash alternative is not available.
- Summer School participation and residency arrangements must be made directly with the DLI.
Eligibility Criteria
- Artists applying for the Drama League of Ireland Bursary must be Meath based and must provide a valid eircode.
- Non DLI members may apply but must cover the additional costs.
- Applicants must be aged 18 +
Conditions
- The Drama League of Ireland Bursary is competition based and previously funded artists are not guaranteed repeat support.
- All applications must be made online.
- Awardees must credit Meath County Council Arts Office in all publicity and through online logo placement in acknowledgement of funding received.
- Applicants may make multiple applications for funding through the different available strands; however if successful, funding will be awarded through one funding strand only. Applicants in receipt of funding through this award will not receive funding through subsequent 2024 awards.
- All Drama League of Ireland Bursary awards will be made in accordance with Meath County Council Arts Plan 2019 – 2024.
- Meath County Council Arts Office reserves the right to review, amend, revise or revoke this scheme at its own discretion at any time.
- Meath County Council shall not be liable to the applicant or any other party, in respect of any loss, damage or costs of any nature arising directly or indirectly from: the application or the subject matter of the application, the rejection for any reason of any application.
- Meath County Council shall not be held responsible or liable, at any time in any circumstances, in relation to any matter whatsoever arising in connection with the administration of activities.
