Deadline: 8 January 2025
The Welcome to Wandsworth organization is pleased to announce its Liberty Festival Participatory Research and Development Grants Program to support artists with disabilities.
Funding Information
- Six Participatory R&D Grants of £1,500 each offer opportunities for disabled artists and community groups to explore themes that are close to their hearts in new and innovative ways, with a view to develop socially engaged work for the festival.
What are they looking for?
- They are excited to receive proposals in any art form and for any target audience. They’d be especially keen to fund proposals which:
- Take a thoughtful and/or innovative approach to accessibility
- Advocate for disabled people’s rights
- Attract new audiences to disability arts
- Respond to the strategic principles for Liberty Festival 2025: improving access, including looking at digital means; increasing collaboration between D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists and organisations; advocacy that highlights issues/challenges for the public’s attention; increase opportunities and development to those that might not ordinarily take part.
Eligibility Criteria
- They welcome applications from arts organisations, disabled artists and freelance producers for the Participatory R&D Grants.
- They also welcome applications from disability organisations/community groups who have identified and approached a disabled artist(s) of their choice to collaborate with.
- All applicants must have the right to work or operate in England.
