Deadline: 2 May 2024
The Creative New Zealand is seeking applications for the international presenters or agents to enable the presentation and touring of high-quality New Zealand art overseas.
International touring allows New Zealand artists to take their stories and perspectives to the world and build sustainable careers. This fund reduces financial barriers for touring New Zealand work and strengthens connections between New Zealand artists, international presenters, and audiences.
What can be funded?
- You can request up to $50,000 towards touring costs for New Zealand artists.
- You must pay a fair artist fee to the New Zealand artists. Artist fees cannot be funded by the Creative New Zealand grant.
- The grant can only be used towards:
- flights
- accommodation
- freight
- The funded activity must take place between 1 June 2024 and 31 October 2025 and include at least one of the following:
- a multi-city tour, with two or more presentations of the same New Zealand work in different locations
- a programme highlighting New Zealand art, featuring two or more works by different New Zealand artists or groups
- The New Zealand artists supported by the grant must be New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents.
- The funding cannot be used to support companies who are in Creative New Zealand’s Toi Tōtara Haemata or Toi Uru Kahikatea investment programmes.
Eligibility Criteria
- International presenters or agents looking to tour the work of New Zealand artists. Presenters can include venues or arts festivals.
