The Ministry of Culture is seeking applications for its Grant Program to Promote Universal Accessibility for People with Disabilities.
The Ministry of Culture aims to defend the rights of persons with disabilities, eliminate discrimination against them, combat stereotypes and accept diversity, as well as to promote their social inclusion and skills through their participation in cultural activities and programs.
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal Entities of Private or Public Law of a non-profit nature, with cultural and/or charitable purposes that have been established until 30/11/2024.
Evaluation Criteria
- The promotion of artists with disabilities and/or chronic diseases and the promotion of freedom of expression through art.
- Supporting creators/organizations/groups that are systematically involved in production of cultural-artistic actions, which are also addressed to individuals with disabilities, by implementing inclusive cultural actions and programs (including people with and without disabilities).
- Supporting integrated and innovative cultural, social and educational in nature, which aim to broaden and develop the artistic skills, the active participation and integration of people with disability (artists and non-artists) and contribute to removing barriers and facilitating their access to cultural goods.
- Strengthening the entrepreneurship of people with disabilities in the cultural and creative sector and encouraging their networking with other bodies.
- Promoting collaborations with artists and groups from abroad who specialize in the production of cultural activities with and for people with disabilities.
- The design and/or provision of certified audiovisual content.
- Support of actions by specialized personnel.
