The Novo Nordisk Foundation is pleased to announce a project support to contribute to engagement and interest in natural science and technology as well as to facilitate communication and qualified public debate on subjects within natural science and technology, including health and sustainability.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation wants to promote interest, knowledge and skills in natural science and technology among children, young people and the population in Denmark in general.
Priorities
- Support can be sought for projects that creatively and engagingly communicate and facilitate fact-based conversation about societally relevant challenges within natural science research, technological development, sustainability, climate, energy production and health.
- Projects on these topics can use all types of media, instruments and channels in order to:
- contribute to inspiring and engaging a broad target group
- create awareness of socially relevant issues
- facilitate public, fact-based and informative conversation
- increase the spread of reliable sources of scientific knowledge and counter misinformation
Funding Information
- There is a total of up to DKK 30 million. for distribution to project grants of DKK 100,000-6,000,000 for a duration of up to 6 years.
- The project can be an independent, limited project or part of a larger project which is also supported by other partners. The project can also be a preliminary project of up to DKK 150,000 in preparation for a larger, subsequent project. Please note that support for a preliminary project is not a guarantee of support for the subsequent project.
Eligibility Criteria
- The project’s target group(s) must be within the Danish Commonwealth and can be children, young people and/or the general population. The project’s activities must primarily be made available to the target group outside the education system.
- It is important to explain that the choice of media(s) in the project is in clear accordance with the project’s purpose and target group(s), and that the project is focused and coherent with selected, relevant activities and tools.
- Applications for the continuation of an existing project must include results from and evaluation of the previous project.
- During the grant period, the applicant must be a manager or project manager at the project’s managing institution. The project’s administering institution must be a public institution and/or non-profit organisation, including educational institutions, municipalities, research institutions, museums or associations in the Danish Commonwealth.
- Private companies and producers can apply for support for non-commercial projects with a non-profit purpose. In that case, the company itself is the managing institution.
