The Ministry of Culture, through the funding of theatrical activity, seeks to expand the theatrical audience, bringing it into contact with works of high artistic quality and at the same time supporting integrated actions of a social and educational nature, seeks to create new jobs and support the work of new creators.
Theatrical art is a valuable tool for expressing human creativity, a means of storytelling, emotional communication and solving problems with creativity and imagination.
Aims
- This call aims to support:
- Producers of theatrical works,
- Theater festivals,
- Activities such as workshops, symposia, lectures and educational programs related to the theater,
- Participation in tours, international actions, events, etc.,
Funding Information
- The categories of amounts for which grant proposals can be submitted for this call are €15,000, €25,000 and €35,000. Specifically:
- For the amount of € 15,000, the condition is that the organization has implemented two professional theatrical productions in the last three years (years 2022, 2023, 2024)
- For the amount of €25,000, the condition is that the organization has implemented three professional theatrical productions in the last four years (years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)
- For the amount of € 35,000, the condition is that the organization has implemented four professional theatrical productions in the last five years (years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024)
Eligibility Criteria
- Legal Entities of Private or Public Law of a non-profit nature, with cultural and/or charitable purposes that have been established until 30/11/2024.
Evaluation Criteria
- Regarding requests related to the production of new theatrical performances the following specific criteria are set:
- The creative and aesthetic approach to the project
- The presentation, promotion and promotion of modern Greek theatrical works by essayists and new Greek writers.
- The research and/or experimental approach to the art of theater.
- Promoting collaborations with artists and groups from Greece and the external.
