Grants for Cultural Actions and Programs for Children and Adolescents (Greece)

Deadline: 12 February 2024

The Ministry of Culture (MOC) is seeking applications for grant and/or sponsorship for actions and programs for Cultural Actions and Programs for Children and Adolescents (up to 18 years old).

The grants of the Ministry of Health through the “Creative Greece – “Contemporary Culture Grants 2024”, aim in 2024 to strengthen and highlighting the bodies and artists of Contemporary Culture and at the same time, at measure, they help the public to remain, co-exist and renew interest in the actions and initiatives that modernity can offer artistic creation.

The participation of children and young people in cultural, artistic and educational activities enhances the cultivation of their learning and social skills and facilitates their socialization. It is important, therefore, to finance those actions and programs that provide appropriate opportunities for the development of the skills of children and adolescents through their active participation in art and culture.

Objectives of the Ministry of Health in the context of this call

  • The support and development of contemporary artistic creation and production
  • The highlighting of new and original/innovative ideas of artistic expression and cultural action
  • The support of the work of young artists and the strengthening of new artistic currents
  • The development of the public and the diffusion of cultural goods among citizens
  • The strengthening of cross-sectoral/cross-artistic actions of Contemporary Culture and the encouragement of creative synergies in Greece and internationally
  • The strengthening of the cultural and creative economy as a pillar of social and economic development and the creation of new jobs
  • The development of actions in the Region with the aim of supporting and exploiting the human potential of each region and contributing to the economic revitalization of local societies
  • The promotion of equality in access, participation and familiarization with contemporary cultural development, with an emphasis on young people, susceptible and vulnerable social groups, as well as special audiences
  • Strengthening social cohesion and contributing to the acceptance of diversity
  • Strengthening knowledge for an even more sustainable environment, through responsible social actions
  • The promotion of digital transformation and digital innovation in the field of culture
  • Strengthening the prestige and reputation of Greek contemporary artistic creation abroad and highlighting Greece as a strong and recognizable pole of development of Contemporary Culture
