Applications are now open for the Finnish Cultural Foundation’s Art for Everyone funds to increase the opportunities of people in need of care or support to experience high-quality art and in this manner promote cultural equality.
Art grants are awarded primarily for purposes of work, and project implementation and acquisition costs. Typical purposes include, for example, the personal work of an individual artist, a musical or theatrical production of a working group, or the acquisition of an instrument or other kind of a tool. The work conducted in this kind of a project must be long-term. The following will be taken into consideration when assessing the projects:
- the number of encounters in the projects: either with several audiences or long-term with a single audience
- the applicant’s understanding of the art participants and the manner in which participants are engaged when defining the project aims.
Funding Information
- The Art for Everyone Grant is intended for work, project-related expenses or both together. The minimum sum the can be applied for is 25,000 euros in the October round.
- About 350,000 euros have been allocated annually for these purposes.
Ineligible Expenses
- Grants are not awarded:
- as wage increments or incentive grants
- on social grounds
- to basic (bachelor’s and master’s) degree students as working grants or for student exchange included in studies
- for postdoctoral research abroad except for visits lasting less than one semester (less than 6 months)
- to cover plain printing costs
- for internships.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant is the producer of the artistic content. Artists from all artistic fields are eligible to apply for this grant. In addition to individual artists, working groups and registered professional arts collectives, such as associations, are also eligible to apply.
