Applications are now open for the FIJI Water Foundation Classroom Grants.
This grant allows any teacher, from those in the country’s busy capital of Suva to the hardest-to-reach outer islands, to apply for funding to enrich the academic opportunities available for their students.
Grant Categories
- To be considered for a grant, applicants must apply for one of the following categories:
- Learning Supplies such as books, science kits, and gardening tools
- Educational Field Trips to places like museums and nature preserves
- General Enrichment Items like playground equipment or library seating areas
- Technology including laptops, tablets, and projectors
- Excursions must comply with Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (MEHA) guidelines.
Funding Information
- Offering teachers grants of up to FJ$5,000.

Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for a grant, applicants must:
- Be a certified teacher or administrator at a school
- Request no more than FJ$5,000 per grant
- Demonstrate how the proposed idea(s) will improve students’ education
- Complete the entire application form
- Agree that all granted supplies must permanently remain with the school and not with the teacher.
