The Jeannette Rankin Foundation is thrilled to announce its call for Scholar Grant Program for the year 2025.
The Jeannette Rankin Foundation offers three unrestricted non-tuition grants for students who identify as women, nonbinary or Two-Spirit and demonstrate financial need.
Types of Grants
- National Grant:
- Students from across the United States who are 35 or older, pursuing a technical or vocational education, first associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree with an accredited U.S. institution may be eligible for the Jeannette Rankin National Scholar Grant.
- Emerge Grant – Georgia & Montana:
- For residents of Georgia and Montana who are 25 or older, pursuing a technical or vocational education, first associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree with an accredited U.S. institution may be eligible for the Emerge Grant.
- Tribal Scholar Grant:
- For Tribal members (enrolled or descendants), 25 or older, pursuing a technical or vocational education, first associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree attending a Tribal College.
Eligibility Criteria
- An applicant for a Jeannette Rankin Foundation Scholar Grant must be:
- 25 years or older, a resident of either Montana, Georgia, or attending a Tribal College OR
- 35 years or older if you DO NOT live in Montana, Georgia, or attend a Tribal College
- A woman, trans, nonbinary, intersex, agender, Two-Spirit, or queer individual
- Demonstrate Financial Need
- A U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
- Pursuing a technical or vocational education, first associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree
- Enrolled in or accepted to a regionally accredited and not-for-profit school
Review Criteria
- Your application will be reviewed and assessed based on the following criteria:
- Your academic and/or professional goals. Reviewers assess each application to see if the applicant provides concrete and realistic goals along with examples of how they plan to achieve their academic and professional goals stated in the application.
- Your plan for reaching your goals. Reviewers look to see that the applicant provides a clear plan for how they will reach their goals.
- How you will use your education to give back to your community.
