Theme
- “AI Applications in Surveying and Land Management”
Funding Information
- Grants of up to 20,000euro for projects addressing the theme.
Eligible Projects
- Projects must demonstrate:
- Developing country location or partnership
- Lasting benefit to a community
- Furthering the knowledge of Al applications in surveying and land management
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be individuals or groups
- Applicants should demonstrate linkage/s to research institutions, government or professional associations.
- Individuals or other entities who can demonstrate experience in research, the development of educational capability, or the development of the profession of surveying and land management.
- Where applicants are students or researchers, a supporting letter from a relevant educational institution must be provided.
- Other applicants should demonstrate research institution linkages where possible, or other forms of collaboration including with governmental surveying and land management bodies, or professional associations. A supporting letter from the appropriate institution must be provided.
- All applicants should commit to presenting their research findings at one or more FIG events.
Evaluation Criteria
- Benefit to the community and/or society (of a developing country)
- Benefit to the surveying and land management profession
- Contribution to new knowledge or applications of artificial intelligence in the fields of surveying and land administration/management
- Utilization of the grant to provide sustained education and/or professional development benefits
- Promotion of the profession of surveying and land management
- Incorporation of good practice
- Demonstrated consideration of the needs and inclusion of minority and vulnerable groups
- Appropriate and comprehensive project plan and budget
