The Meath County Council is inviting applicants for its Community Arts Grant Program that support community groups and schools in the provision of community arts projects which promote engagement and enhance long-term partnerships with professional artists.
Assistance shall be given only in respect of community art projects held in County Meath, which have been devised in partnership with a professional artist and scheduled to occur in 2024.

- The maximum grant available is €2,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Community groups/schools applying for a CAG must be Meath based and must provide a valid eircode.
- This award is available for future/new activities; it is not available for activities which have already taken place.
- Applicants must be aged 18 +
- This scheme is not intended to wholly fund projects. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of other project income or funding.
Conditions
- The CAG is competition based and previously funded projects are not guaranteed repeat funding.
- All applications must be made online.
- Awardees must credit Meath County Council Arts Office, and where relevant Creative Ireland, in all publicity, and through logo placement in acknowledgment of funding received.
- Applicants may make multiple applications for funding through the different available funding strands; however if successful, funding will be awarded through one funding strand only. Applicants in receipt of funding through this award will not receive funding through subsequent 2024 awards.
- Applications must be devised with and propose to engage a professional supervising/facilitating partner artist. A written work agreement between organisation and artist, signed by both, including an outline of artist’s fees must be included.
- All CAG awards will be made in accordance with Meath County Council Arts Plan 2019 – 2024.
- Meath County Council Arts Office reserves the right to review, amend, revise or revoke this scheme at its own discretion at any time.
- Meath County Council shall not be liable to the applicant or any other party, in respect of any loss, damage or costs of any nature arising directly or indirectly from: the application or the subject matter of the application, the rejection for any reason of any application.
- Meath County Council shall not be held responsible or liable, at any time in any circumstances, in relation to any matter whatsoever arising in connection with the administration of activities.
Health & Safety
- Activities involving children and young people (0-18 yrs.) must have up to date Child Protection Policies and Procedures in place in accordance with the Children First Act 2015 and Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017.
- Events or projects engaging members of the public, including virtual events, require a Health & Safety Event Plan and a Risk Assessment and applicants must declare pertinent, up-to-date documents in place.
