The City of Wichita’s Division of Arts and Cultural Services has opened applications for the 2025 Artist Access Grants Program.
Part of the City’s Cultural Funding program, the Artist Access Grants are designed to assist practicing, professional, or emerging artists serving the Wichita community. The program provides support for artists to take advantage of specific and exceptional professional development or skill-building opportunities to advance their work and careers as working artists.
Funding Information
- The City of Wichita awarded 26 Artist Access grants in 2024, totaling $20,000 in funding to local artists, the most in the program’s history.
- Grant awards range from $100 to $1,000.
- Applicants approved for funding will expend Artist Access funds in 2025.
Eligible Costs
- Artist workshops, conferences, and seminars (including hotel, registration fees, travel)
- Artist residencies (including travel expenses)
- Individual artist website development
- Resume preparation
- Professional presentation development
Ineligible Costs
- Individual projects/exhibits/specific performances
- Costs of creating or producing art or an artwork
- Purchases of equipment
- Touring engagements
- Academic or certification conferring endeavors
- Artist materials, supplies, or equipment
