The Play Matters Australia is inviting proposals to support playgroups in rural and remote communities by providing financial assistance through its Playgroup Grant Program.
The aim is to enhance playgroup facilities, resources and experiences for families, fostering inclusive and engaging environments for children and caregivers.

Funding Information
- Small Grants: up to $1000 in the form of an EducationAll voucher.
- Larger Grants: $1000 – $5000 in cash.
Eligibility Criteria
- Grants are available to playgroups located in areas classified as Moderately Accessible (MA), Remote (R), and Very Remote (VR) in the Accessibility/Remoteness Index of Australia.
- Small Grants: Open to all playgroups in defined rural and remote locations regardless of whether they are affiliated with Play Matters Australia.
- Larger Grants: Exclusively for existing Play Matters Affiliated groups. Funds may be used for facility upgrades or improvements to better support playgroup activities in defined rural and remote locations.
Assessment Criteria
- Assessment criteria includes:
- Relevance and potential impact of the proposed use of funds.
- Alignment with the program’s goal of enhancing playgroup facilities, resources, and experiences.
- Demonstrated need based on the playgroup’s location and current resources.

- Applicants must provide accurate and verifiable information, including:
- Contact details.
- Details of the playgroup’s location and activities.
- Proposed usage of funds (for Larger Grants).
