The Norwegian Health Association calls for proposals for Financing of Running Costs and Networking Activities Program 2025 to fund high-quality research and strengthen the connection between basic and clinical research by building networks between dementia researchers and research groups across disciplines in Norway.
The Norwegian Health Association is a voluntary, humanitarian organization working with public health, research into cardiovascular diseases and dementia and promoting the interests of people with dementia and their next of kin. The Norwegian Health Association has established a national, comprehensive and coordinated Dementia Research Programme.
Funding Information
- Norwegian Health Association acknowledges the need for running costs to conduct high-quality research within the field of dementia and to build functional networks between dementia research groups and across disciplines.
- Through this funding opportunity they, therefore, offer financing of running costs of up to 200 000 NOK related to ongoing research activities focusing on causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) of dementia and/or network building activities. Care research is outside the scope of this call.
- Runnings costs may include general costs such as supplies, analyses, laboratory animals, equipment, conference fees, project specific services and relevant network building activities etc. Salary costs are not covered.
- The Norwegian Health Association does not fund institutional overhead costs.
- Grant funds may be applied for from January 1st 2025 to December 31st 2026, with a maximum project period of 12 months. If there is a need for further extension of the project period this must be specifically stated in the application.
Who can apply?
- Applicants must be employed at a Norwegian research institution to be eligible for funding.
- Norwegian universities, university colleges, research institutes, hospitals and institutions with research as part of their activities are eligible grantee institutions.
- The applicant must hold a PhD degree.
