The International Heritage Cooperation is pleased to invite applications for its Matching Fund to support cultural heritage projects created through international partnerships.
The Matching Fund supports projects that contribute to the visibility of heritage that connects the Kingdom of the Netherlands with the countries included in the International Cultural Policy.
To increase the visibility of international heritage connections it supports projects that create awareness and understanding of the heritage while also linking to topics that resonate with audiences today. To create diverse and engaging projects applicants are expected to place a strong emphasis on reciprocal partnerships, multiperspectivity and historical awareness.
Topic
- The project should address a heritage topic that connects the Kingdom of the Netherlands with one of the countries mentioned in the International Cultural Policy while also linking to subjects that resonate with audiences today.
Funding Information
- A total of €90.000 is available per round of the Matching Fund. Applicants can apply for funding up to €25.000 where the financial support from the Matching Fund can cover a maximum of 50% of the total budget.
- For book publications, funding can be requested up to €7.500.
- For documentaries or films with a cinema release funding up to €10.000 can be requested for the public programming connected to this release.
Eligible Projects
- They support projects from all cultural disciplines some examples are exhibitions, international events, theatre performances, podcasts, etc.
- Book publications and public programming connected to documentaries and films shown in cinemas are also eligible, but certain restrictions apply.
Eligibility Criteria
- Heritage and creative professionals, organisations, and institutes that are based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (including Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius) are welcome to apply in partnership with their counterpart(s) from the countries mentioned in the International Cultural Policy. For administrative reasons, the partner based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands must be a legal entity.
Application Requirements
- A complete application consists of:
- The completed application form
- A budget proposal
- Letters of intent from the project leaders
- Two letters of recommendation
- The curricula vitae of the project leaders.
