The El Paso Community Foundation is thrilled to seek grant applications to purchase materials and equipment to enhance learning opportunities and engage students in the El Paso and Las Cruces area.
The fund helps in relieving the financial burden while ensuring educators have the opportunity to work with new and innovative learning materials.

Eligibility Criteria
- In order to request classroom materials, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- You are a Pre K – grade 12 full-time educator in the El Paso/Las Cruces area. “Full-time educator” includes public or private school teachers, librarians, guidance counselors, school nurses and full-time teachers who may also act as coaches.
- You did not receive a Classroom Fund grant last year in 2024.
- You spend 75% of your time working directly with students.
- You commit to posting requests for materials that your students will directly use/experience.
- Your request is for materials with a total cost of $1,000 or less.
- You commit to reporting on the use of materials through either pictures, video or written letter.
Assessment Criteria
- The application is reviewed by a grant committee comprised of retired educators, community members and current high school students. The committee carefully reviews and scores the application based on innovation, demonstrated need, and student engagement.
