The CDG-EB Impact Sustainability Education Grant aims to support underprivileged youths pursuing a full-time sustainability, sustainable development, or environment related degree at an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL).
EB Impact aims to support and equip young aspiring sustainability leaders with the necessary skills, knowledge, resources, and tools, in their early careers for them to create change in the world.
A first-of-its-kind grant in Singapore which aims to transform the lives of underserved Singaporean and ASEAN youths who have plans to enrol in a tertiary education course with a focus of sustainability and sustainable development.
Funding Information
- A grant of $5,000 will be awarded to ten talented recipients for Academic Year 2024.
Benefits of the Grant
- Each grant is tenable for one Academic Year
- The grant will be used for the recipient’s educational expenses including tuition fees and person day-to-day expenses
- Recipients of this grant may hold another bursary, scholarship or financial assistance concurrently
- No bond is required of the recipient
- Opportunities for mentoring and leadership development: recipients will have access to EB Impact’s mentoring and leadership development opportunities, including networking opportunities, workshops, and training sessions
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and a strong commitment to community service and leadership.
- A citizen of an Asean country (Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei) between the ages of 17 to 35 years from 1st Jan 2024
- Household Per Capital Income (PCI) less than, for Singaporean applicants, $2,250 per month. For other Asean countries this will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be studying a subject that relate to the field of sustainability and sustainable development
- Must demonstrate academic merit
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and leadership
- Have strong interest in a sustainability career.
