The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (FCG) has announced the Grants for Artistic Creation to support artists with unique and relevant artistic creation projects in the areas of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Cinema and Cross-Disciplinary projects.
Support will be granted for the execution of:
- Projects for the creation of a work in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Cinema or Cross-Disciplinary projects, with a public presentation;
- Projects that correspond to a part of the creative process in the areas referred above, without the obligation to present a finished work.
Funding Information
- The amount of support varies and is organized into four levels: €4,000, €8,000, €12,000 and €16,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- National and foreign artist-authors can apply, in their individual capacity, or through private Portuguese non-profit organisations with which they collaborate in the implementation of the project. Foreign artists must reside in Portugal and be part of the Portuguese artistic community;
- Projects must be initiated and executed between 1 July 2024 and 30 December 2026;
- Each artist can only submit one application per year.
Ineligibility Criteria
The criteria for exclusion from the competition will be:
- Projects of a commercial nature;
- Projects with an academic or school nature;
- Projects exclusively in the fields of Architecture and Design.
