The French Federation of the Blind and Visually Impaired has awarded nearly 200 research grants to young researchers. Among them, they find names that have become today illustrious figures recognized in the field of medical research in ophthalmology!
Focus Areas
- From Research in Basic Sciences,
- Clinical and/or applied research (therapeutic innovation, functional rehabilitation),
- Research in Human Sciences (psychology, sociology, human sciences),
- From Research on Technological Innovation.
Funding Information
- The French Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted offers: 1 research grant of €45,000 for Research and Innovation.
Eligibility Criteria
- French or foreign,
- Be over 18 years old,
- Carry out your activity in France,
- Having chosen a direction of research or innovation which could promote in the short, medium or long term, the screening, prevention and treatment of blinding diseases or the improvement of the daily lives of blind or visually impaired people.
- The amount of the scholarship is used exclusively to finance the candidate’s salary.
Application Requirements
- Any application file that is incomplete or does not meet the prescribed conditions will be refused and returned.
- The complete files will be studied by the scientific council composed of recognized scientists, professionals from the world of visual impairment and blind people and the final decision will be taken by the board of directors of the Fédération des Aveugles de France.
