The Peter Bopp Stiftung is seeking applications for its Implementation Grants to support applied proof of concept projects in high-impact fields conducted at Swiss universities.
The main criteria besides scientific excellence, innovation and a sustainable approach are market opportunities and marketability of the project.

- Replacement of PFAS
- New molecular energy storage
- Defossilized raw materials
- Upcycling of microplastics and other materials
- Capture of local CO2 in SMEs
- Production of reduced carbon from non-fossil resources
- Fractionation of waste
- Food security

- Funding will be given to projects in the proof of concept phase with a specific focus on the pilot and demonstrator phase:

Funding Information
- CHF 100’000 to CHF 300’000
- Duration of the projects: 1 to 2 years
Key Criteria
- Rooted within a Swiss university or research institute
- Convincing, innovative project idea that contributes to solving a relevant societal or environmental challenge
- Scientific and technical excellence
- Principle of sustainability
- Plausible reference to practical and economic application with plauibility of corresponding market opportunities
- High level of commitment on the part of the project participants
- Plausible and substantiated budget including salaries and project related costs
- Proof of scientific excellence, innovation and market potential by way of letters of endorsement (support programs, mentors, industry experts, investors)

- CVs of the project team and/or partners
- Support letter from a funding program or mentor to provide evidence of scientific excellence
- Support letter from a (potential) industry partner, investor or users to provide evidence of business potential

- A presentation of max. 10 slides/pages is optional
- Please upload the presentation together with your project proposal on the web portal

- Challenge: What solution do you offer for which problem? What is new in your solution (USP)?
- Market plausibility: How do you know that your project meets a business potential?
- Impact: To what extent does the Implementation Grant boost the development of your project?
- Team: What is your team’s track record? Why are you the right team to bring your solution forward and to market?
- Formal aspects
- Your video shouldn’t exceed 3 minutes
- Choose a suitable location/background
- Use an attractive and understandable way to present your project
- Show your solution/prototype/product and the members of your team
- Show your personality and enthusiasm for the idea
- Technical aspects
- The video should be in MP4 format and not bigger than 250 MB
