The Forte is accepting applications for its journal grants to support scientific discussion and publication and to promote the dissemination of scientific information within Forte’s areas of responsibility and coordination.
Focus Area
- Swedish-language journals within Forte’s areas of responsibility (Health, Working Life and Welfare) can apply for grants for editorial work and publishing. The purpose of Forte’s journal grant is twofold; namely to support scientific discussion and publication in Swedish within Forte’s areas of responsibility, and to promote the dissemination of scientific information within Forte’s areas of responsibility and coordination in particular results from research funded by Forte.
Funding Information
- In total, SEK 10 million is reserved by Forte for the period 2025—2027. The amount granted amounts to a maximum of SEK 1,200,000 for three years. Examples of costs that can be covered by a journal grant include:
- editorial work
- development of digital publishing forms (incl. social media)
- distribution of the journal/periodical by other means
- printing costs (should be explained in detail separately)
- Project duration: Funding may be sought for three years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Doctoral degree:
- To apply for a grant under this call for proposals, you must have obtained a doctoral degree no later than the closing date of the call for proposals.
- Reporting for previous grants:
- The main applicant must have submitted the final report for any previously approved grants from Forte within the reporting deadline. This only applies to grants where the deadline for final reporting has passed. Any previously granted extensions of project duration, and consequently of reporting deadlines, will be taken into account.
