The General Directorate of Scientific Research and Technological Development is launching a call for proposals within the framework of the Algerian-Tunisian cooperation program, for the funding of research and development projects.
Areas of Research
- Joint research projects must focus on one of the following areas:
- Artificial Intelligence and advanced technologies;
- Energy;
- Environment and circular economy.
Funding Information
- For Algerian structures: Each project will be financed up to 1,300,000 DZD per year for a maximum duration of three years (maximum total budget of 3,900,000 DZD).
- For Tunisian structures: Each project will be financed up to 30,000 TND per year for a maximum duration of three years (maximum total budget of 90,000 TND).
Eligible Expenses
- Travel expenses and daily allowances
- Small equipment, logistics and consumables
- Service contracts
- Organization and participation in scientific events
- Publication and patent filing costs
- Costs of analysis and sample processing
Eligibility Criteria
- Proposals must involve at least one research structure from each country.
- Proposal must include an Algerian principal investigator and a Tunisian principal investigator responsible for the technical and administrative coordination of the project, including the periodic scientific and financial reports to the respective authorities.
- The participation of industrial or socio-economic partners is required to promote collaborative research and optimize the valorization of scientific results. These partners can participate at their own expense.
- In Algeria:
- The CP must be at least a lecturer/research professor,
- The CP must sign an agreement with the DGRSDT/MESRS after selection,
- The CP cannot be involved in more than one project as a CP during the same call to proposals,
- The CP involved in two active DGRSDT projects, in the same capacity, is not eligible,
- The research team must include five researchers (body A and B, and grades superiors),
- The project must not have received funding or been submitted to any other funding agency, program or body in order to avoid double funding.
- In Tunisia:
- The CP must be a University Professor or Lecturer,
- The CP must be affiliated with a public research laboratory that is part of the partner institution/research center involved in the project,
- The CP cannot be involved in more than one project during the same call for proposals,
- The research team must include at least five permanent researchers (body A and B), including at least two members of professor or lecturer rank.
Application Requirements
- The application file must be written in French, jointly by the Tunisian and Algerian teams and must include:
- Completed submission form
- CVs of team members
- Request for submission validated by:
- The director of the research structure
- The head of the establishment
- The supervisory authority (University President, Director General of the research center)
- Details of industrial or socio-economic partners (sector of activity and benefits expected).
